Chicago Area Beaches Among Nation’s Worst

According to an article in the Chicago Journal, water quality at Chicago’s beaches is the worst for swimming compared with other areas in the U.S. The study, conducted by the Natural Resources Defense Council, noted that Kathy Osterman Beach, in Edgewater, exceeded national bacteria standards 100 percent of the time last year.
