Bar games abound in Edgewater & Andersonville
As if you needed a reason to drink on a weekday, local watering holes all over the neighborhood are appealing to people’s competitive sides by offering up games from trivia to game shows to lure patrons in during what are normally slower nights of the week. It is thought that pub quizzes originated in the UK in the 1970′s, and the craze has not only set foot in the US but taken a few twists and turns along the way. Below are a few options locally where you can get your game on during the week:
Hamburger Mary’s (5400 N Clark): start your week of right with Hambingo on Monday evenings at 7pm and again at 9pm, where all bingo proceeds benefit a local charity. On Tuesday evenings, in the Rec Room, Mary hosts a free trivia night with free shots every round and great prizes for winners.
