andersonvillefarmersmarket-Springtime is well underway and that means it’s time to get fresh produce and goods from your local farmer’s markets. Wednesday, May 11 is the official opening of the Andersonville Farmer’s Market.

The market which is located on Berwyn between Clark and Ashland will be held every Wednesday through August 31 from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. and September 7 through October 19 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

There are 32 different vendors this year and the market has just about everything to satisfy those taste buds including fresh baked breads, organic produce and seasonal soups. You can also find many local businesses such as First Slice Pies, Phoenix Bean Tofu and Defloured Bakery.

The Andersonville market also features many local musicians who entertain while you shop. If you are interested in playing at the Andersonville Farmers Market or have questions about the entertainment, contact Joan Oberndorf at market@andersonville.org.
