Priest forgets "Thou shall not steal," gets probation

Steve Patte, 65, was sentenced to four years of probation for stealing $40,000 from St. Ita’s church in Edgewater. The Roman Catholic priest was transfering church funds to his personal account and issuing himself checks for reimbursement of expenses that never occurred. Patte apparently used the money on vacations, massages, and other personal expenses....
