Two Teens Charged After Senn High School Gun Scare

Two students at Senn High School have been charged after a gun scare forced the institution to go into emergency lock down on Monday.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. after a student noticed a classmate with a gun in one of the bathrooms. After calling his mother to explain what happened, she immediately called the school.

Senn’s Resource Officer, a CPD employee, put the school on lockdown and began to review security camera footage in order to identify the suspect. In the end two students, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, were located and found in possession of two pellet guns.

Both have been charged with one count of reckless conduct, a misdemeanor. According to CPD, the students were not threatening anyone with the guns.

They are scheduled to appear in court December 9.
