Furious Spoon In Andersonville Closes After Opening One Year Ago

After being open for about one year at its Andersonville location, Furious spoon at 5406 N. Clark has closed its doors.

The unique approach to what Executive Chef Shin Thompson said was a hip-hop ramen shop  never caught fire in Andersonville. The trendy approach to the typical ramen dish was mixed with different flavors in an energetic atmosphere with graffiti-adorned walls and hip-hop sounds playing  in the background.

The restaurant, which is smaller than the other locations, was a quick service eatery where one orders food at the counter and then brought to your table once prepared. Shin told EVB last year that the eatery was not a place you are going to hang out at for two hours but rather a place where you can get a quick, delicious meal.

“Thank you for letting us be a part of your community,” read a red sign posted on the window of the restaurant. “We have enjoyed being here very much. Closing our doors in Andersonville was a difficult decision.”

The sign further welcomed Andersonville customers to visit any of there seven other Chicagoland locations and to contact info@Furiousramen.com with any questions.
