Once again, the Edgewater Historical Society is working with neighborhood home owners and businesses to give limited access to select properties that showcase the area’s past.

For 2017, Edgewater’s ‘Triangle’ neighborhood has been selected to open their doors. Select locations that are within the area bordered by Ashland/Clark, Bryn Mawr and Ridge will be open to the persons who participate in the event.

The Home Tour will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Registration will be at Edgewater Baptist Church (1401 West Hollywood) between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. The program cost $25 and each participant will receive a souvenir Tour Booklet containing a map of the neighborhood and descriptions of each home on the tour.

Once you arrive at the selected home, a docent will give you a brief summary of the property’s exterior and key architectural features. Afterwards, participants will be directed inside the home where another docent will escort small groups while pointing out interior features and highlights.

This year, homes will be located on Glenwood, Edgewater, Ridge, Hollywood and Victoria and include building’s rich with history and architectural significance. The Historical Society recommends people where comfortable shoes as there will be about one mile of walking in between homes on the route.

This will be the 28th home tour the Edgewater Historical Society has put on since starting the annual event back in 1989. For more information, click here.
