Andersonville’s Murray and White Home Furnishings Store Will Be Closing It’s Doors

For the past five years Murray and White at 5416 N. Clark have added a unique blend of home furnishings to the Andersonville strip. However, it was announced by their team yesterday that they will be ceasing operation soon.

The store, which has been a staple for those looking for home goods and gifts, sells items that owners Travis White and JT Murray say reflect a more “traditional aesthetic.” Through the years the business was active in many local events and helped make Andersonville a home furnishings destination.

“While we really wish it wasn’t so, we have made the difficult decision to close Murray & White,” said Murray and White in an email statement. “We want to thank each and every one of you for shopping with us and for your support. For the past five years we have loved being a part of Andersonville’s amazing and vibrant community. We have enjoyed meeting all of you, bringing you unique merchandise for your home, and gifts for your family and friends.”

According to them, they have marked down prices in the entire store. Their Going Out Of Business Sale officially starts today Friday, April 26th at 10 a.m. Normal business hours are Tuesday-Wednesday 12 p.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and closed on Mondays.

There was no official date given on their last day.
