Andersonville’s Pastoral Artisan Cheese, Bread & Wine and its Appellation Wine Bar & Restaurant at 5212 N. Clark St. will be officially closing its doors after serving the community for nearly three years.

The owners, Greg O’neil and Ken Miller announced the closing on social media. They will be in operation the next two weeks but will be shutting their Andersonville doors for good after brunch service on Sunday, October 21.

“We have loved being a part of this tight knit community and constantly feel the love back,” the owners said in a Facebook post. “That said, we are sad to announce that we will closing our doors to make way for another great concept to take our place someday soon. Please know that this was a difficult but necessary decision and was internally-driven.”

Appellation Wine Bar & Restaurant was well received by both critics and residents and was even  named “Best Addition” at the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce Honors awards.  Even though they will no longer be serving in Andersonville, their other locations in Lakeview and downtown will remain open for business.

“We are very grateful for your support and patronage and most proud of our staff for their hard work, passion and commitment to quality,” the owners of Pastoral added. “We hope you and yours will join us over the next two weeks to visit with us and your favorite staff, let us share our gratitude and hopefully serve you up some of the great food and drinks for which we have become known.”
