Yoga Now’s Edgewater location to close

From the Yoga Now weekly e-newsletter:

With heartfelt gratitude to the community, it is with sadness that we announce the closing of the Edgewater studio of Yoga Now.

Our current lease was unexpectedly cut short before we had a chance to make final arrangements for a move and to raise the money to relocate. We do hope to re-open at a new location at some point in the future. In the interim, we will be continuing a slimmed- down schedule at a northside location that is still to be determined.

Our last class in the current schedule will be the Community Class of Sunday, May 2nd, which will be taught by the owner of Yoga Now, Amy Beth Treciokas. Afterwards, we will have a final potluck to celebrate the time we’ve had at the Edgewater studio and welcome in the new phase of Yoga Now North. Please join us for this practice and celebration.

Yoga Now Edgewater has grown into a vibrant community of dedicated students, teachers, work- studies and management. To all of you who have given so much of yourselves in these roles, we extend our deepest thanks. Your patronage and hard work are noticed and appreicated. All of us at the studio love this community and feel our value to the community. We will do everything in our power to continue as best we can and weather this storm until we can spring forth in a form that is economically viable, either as renting space at a northside location or with a new studio to call home.

If you have any questions on this transition or leads to avenues of support for our situation please contact julia@yoganowchicago.com.
