True Nature Foods Cafe Opens In Edgewater

true natureThis week True Nature Foods opened their new café with a full menu of 100% organic handcrafted juices, smoothies, sandwiches and soups – created to nourish your body and soul. The menu is vegan although sandwiches have the option to add cheddar cheese or vegan cheese. In addition, the menu contains kid-friendly options such as the Pixie sandwich: a sprouted whole grain English muffin with almond butter, apple slices and cinnamon for only $5.

There are also options for gluten-free customers and, in-line with True Nature’s values, sources much of its ingredients from local organic vendors.   The café is open everyday from 9am-3pm and there are tables and chairs to eat in-house or take them to-go.  To save time, you can phone ahead and your food will be waiting for you. Now there is no excuse not to eat healthy!

According to True Nature Foods,  “Not only can you get a fresh juice or smoothie when you visit us, you can also try one of our delicious sandwiches or salads made to order. Many of our ingredients are house made, local, and organic. With vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options you are sure to find something you love.”

While you are there, be sure to check out the local Kombucha they have on tap. If you haven’t tried Kombucha yet or heard about the many health benefits, give it a try. Not only is it delicious, but it also assists the body in detoxification, is excellent for joint care and is immune boosting.  It is a probiotic beverage that aids digestion and improves gut health.

True Nature Foods is located at 6034 N. Broadway, at the intersection of Norwood and Broadway and the cafe is located inside. Paula has owned the store for over 30 years and has a passion for local vendors, healthy living and the Edgewater/Andersonville area.
