  YES YES YES ! You should do background checks on potential partners and mates! Most of all, look for danger signs before you get too emotionally involved, and remember that while women less than 25% of all murder victims nationwide, and less than 10% of murder victims in Chicago, a woman is more likely to be murdered by her husband or boyfriend than anyone else.   Inside story, there is reason to believe that the victim called Chicago Police seven hours prior to her murder to lodge a complaint about his behavior. Police arrived at her residence and spoke to the victim..

    7 hours prior she was driving to Chicago. The man was not her boyfriend but a family friend who she was helping to get back on his feet. On that night she was headed home to tell him that he needed to move out. She had suspected him of stealing and his behavior was become more and more strange.
