Study Analyzes Ridge Traffic

From Alderman Smith’s eNewsletter:
At Alderman Mary Ann Smith’s request, the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) did a study to look at how changes in traffic patterns could improve the safety and quality of life along Ridge Avenue between Broadway and Clark. Priorities included providing better connections between neighbors and community resources, giving an assist to the emerging Ridge arts corridor and, perhaps, adding parking along Ridge during non-peak times. The study was presented at the monthly 48th Ward Zoning and Planning Committee meeting and is posted on the Edgewater blog. You can download the complete study, read your neighbors’ thoughts on the issue and add your own comments at the Edgewater blog.

Tell us what you think in our poll to the right: Do you support Alderman Smith’s plan for parking on Ridge?
