I am glad the store has been saved and thank them for being a proud community member. I do wonder how,( especially being such a small business) they could not know there taxes were not being paid. I think personal responsibility was really lacking and thats how businesses often fail..its always easy to blame it on someone else…and don’t get me started on crowdfunding! I hope this business has learned from their neglect and I wish them a long life in Edgewater!

How do you not know you never paid your sales taxes. Wouldn’t you realize the money you put aside from your sales to pay the taxes is still in the bank? Or, did the account take the money. But, even in that case, the check would be made out the IRS. We need more details please.
