Senn High Staff Member Removed After Alleged Inappropriate Conduct With A Student

A Nicholas Senn High School staff member has been accused of an inappropriate relationship with one of the former CPS students. That person has since been removed pending an investigation.

Senn Principal Mary Beck sent out a letter to parents last week making the situation transparent to families at the school about the issue. No information about the suspect was given as the Office of the Inspector General is currently in the process of investigating the accusations.

“The safety of our children is always our top priority, which is why I must inform you of a situation that has recently come to light,” Principal Beck began in her letter. “Please know that we are taking this situation seriously, and we remain committed to providing our students with a safe, positive learning environment where they can reach their full potential.”

Beck added that she was unable to to discuss further details about the situation but she was available to anyone with concerns about student protections.
