Purse Snatching on Sheridan

From the ASCO:

“It was definetely a Friday the 13th for an 82 year old Sheridan Road resident. She was returning from shopping at Dominick’s on Glenlake at about 4:00 p.m., in broad daylight. She was on the SW corner of Glenlake and Sheridan Road. A short male, age and race unknown, approached her from the rear and grabbed her purse. When she clung to it, she was thrown to the ground, serious injuring her face.
Residents of 6030 N. Sheridan heard her screams and rushed to her aid, calling for an ambulance. She was taken to Weiss hospital where many stitches were used to close her head and face wounds.
Later another good samaritan found her purse on Thorndale, intact except for the cash.”
