I’m tired of looking directly at the rear of the building with its plywood boarded up windows and doorways for years on end. The back portion of the building was ripped off years ago leaving a very unsightly mess. A few weeks ago they did some reconstruction work on the roof, which is now covered by a blue plastic tarp. I was hoping that meant something was finally going to happen to this property. We need more quality retail space and people living on Broadway.

Pepitone’s was a big loss. The interior with it’s dark wood and skylights was unlike any other restaurant space in the area. Never go into business if you can’t afford comprehensive business insurance! Had the owners had the appropriate insurance, they might have been able to reopen.

Be glad they’re not demolished.

I’m so happy that eyesore will finally be occupied.
