Pastry with an attitude

Earlier this week we learned that Italian pastry shop Pasticceria Natalina was closing from the Chicago Tribune. We have personally never been to the store located at 5406 N Clark, but it appears the owner, Natalie Zarzour, thinks very highly of her pastry making skills and does not think highly of Chicago residents’ (who are also potential customers) or food critic’s taste palatte or desire to pay $9 for a canoli. Check out these articles, which shed some light on Zarzour’s attitude:

Chicago Tribune: Sugar and Spice and everything…

Chicago Reader: Astir in Andersonville
