New free comedy show Fridays on Thorndale
Chicago comedian Lev Kalmens is hosting and producing a new monthly stand up comedy show in Edgewater every first Friday of the month called ‘Here Is Your Alibi’. Having recently moved to Rogers Park, Lev Kalmens noticed a lack of stand up comedy shows on the far north side of Chicago. He decided to bring some of Chicago’s finest comedians further up north to Edgewater. The show debuted in June and was recommended by Time Out Chicago as a must see. Performances are held every first Friday at 8PM at The Frontier, a new storefront space owned by Jackalope Theater Company at 1106 W. Thorndale.
The next show, August 2nd, will feature Irene Tu (Limestone Comedy Festival), Charlie Rohrer, Nate Simmons (Chicago Underground Comedy), Sean White and headliner Candy Lawrence (Just For Laughs Festival, Chicago Underground Comedy). The show is free and BYOB. Donations are encouraged.
