New Chiropractic Wellness Center Opens On The Andersonville Strip

sarahgStarting next week, residents of Edgeville will have a new Wellness Center to visit on Clark Street. RE: Chiropractic and Wellness (RE for short) is opening in the space over Big Jones at 5347 N. Clark Street. The owner, Sarah Ghorbanian, has been a chiropractor for 9 years, the last 7 in a group practice, which makes it even more exciting to be opening the doors of her new business in her home community of Andersonville. RE’s motto is: We’re a boutique operation for the savvy individual that demands that healthcare support their lifestyle.

Sarah went into chiropractic care because she is a big believer that people want and need alternatives to drugs and/or surgery. Chiropractic care invokes the body to heal itself and she believes it leads to happy, healthy people. For many, chiropractic care can be a gateway to other alternative practices like acupuncture or massage therapy. Sarah believes in holisitic health – that the mind, body and spirit are all connected and a lack of symptoms doesn’t mean good health.

Sarah has lived most of her life in the Edgeville area and always dreamed of riding her bike to work and serving her community. She has a greater vision than just bringing chiropractic care to Clark Street. Sarah envisions the space being used as a community space and hopes to use it for networking events, pot lucks, pregnant mom support, book clubs, juicing classes, and health and wellness support groups. Look for the blue door next to Big Jones, if its unlocked Sarah says to “come on in and say hello.”

In addition to Sarah doing chiropractic at the Wellness Center, she has a few other wellness entrepreneurs that will work there. John-Michael of Integrated Bodywork is a massage therapist who will be taking appointments on Thursdays (11-7pm) and Saturdays (10-5pm). He was previously with a spa in Andersonville for 9 years and offers integrated massage (a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage), raindrop technique, reflexology treatments, pre-natal massages and hot stone massages. Jen Loboda of Nutritious in the City will also have space at RE: Wellness and Chiropractic. Jen is a health coach with a heart for the health and wellbeing of people in Edgeville and is very excited to have her first office space. She will be seeing clients out of the office on Tuesdays. Please feel free to contact her directly at jen@nutritiousinthecity.com to set up an appointment.
