From the Chicago Journal:

Restaurant burglarized
Someone slipped into a restaurant on the 5200 block of North Clark Street by breaking through the skylight some time between 1 and 9 a.m. Sept. 13. The thief used an aluminum ladder to climb down into the restaurant. Police believe that the thief used his own fist to break a glass window on an interior door to enter an office because blood was found on the floor. Once inside, the thief opened two unlocked file cabinets and stole $300 cash. The thief tried to get into a second office with a kitchen knife, but was unsuccessful. The knife was found inside the restaurant, as well as a cloth with blood stains.

Juvy arrested for strong-arm robbery

The victim told police she was walking with her purse draped over her shoulder, when the boy approached her from behind and pulled on the victim’s purse, knocking her to the ground. The boy dragged the woman for a half block, until he was able to pull the purse free. Witnesses saw the boy putting the purse in a garbage can. Police arrested the boy on the 5200 block of North Magnolia. The victim and witnesses identified the youth. He was turned over to juvenile authorities after being charged with strong arm robbery.
