Man Injured In CTA Station Fall

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― A man was hospitalized after falling onto CTA tracks Sunday evening at the Bryn Mawr station in the Edgewater neighborhood.

The CTA was notified about 6:30 p.m. that a person had fallen off the platform at the Red Line’s Bryn Mawr station onto the tracks, according to spokeswoman Kim Myles. There was no contact with the third rail or with any trains.

Emergency crews took the person to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in “trauma” condition by an advanced life support ambulance, Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor said. Crews responded to the scene at 6:34 p.m.
