It’s no surprise, acknowledging that feckless planning, that a corridor like Clark is doing far better, despite being several blocks further from the red line and express buses.

How is that going to improve the pedestrian friendliness of the neighborhood?

The narrowness and lack of strip malls is largely what made Andersonville (and similar stretches throughout the city) attractive back in the ’90s.

One of the complaints from the west side of Broadway was that traffic would be heavier to get to LSD, which I never could understand, since going east would be harder hit, but many over here on the east side said they rather work with more traffic cut through then another person thrown across the street. Now we have to monitor the right hand turns, how about no turn on red? So the cutting through Balmoral to Sheridan will be prevented?

Drivers aren’t shopping or eating here; they’re just speeding through.
