Have some free time this weekend and want to lend a hand to spruce up a storefront and bring a community space and some positive energy to the Bryn Mawr Red Line station?

This space would serve the community best if converted back to being a CTA station. The Bryn Mawr station was grossly bypassed when the red line stations on the far north side were renovated.

And when will Bryn Mawr get an elevator???

I was hoping one would have been installed by now. I’m tired of seeing women struggle with their strollers carrying 2-3 children and no one helping them down the steep stairs. I was hoping they’d use one of those 2 empty spots across from the station to put a much needed elevator.

I did see 3 people in there a weekend ago, on their hands and knees and with those white masks on their faces, cleaning, and moving stuff around. They did quite a bit of work on that space that used to be a clothing store and a cleaners.

But Bryn Mawr stills needs a much needed elevator for the everyone who uses that station!

What’s the timetable for this? When will they be there again? Are they taking Thanksgiving week off?
