Burglary Prevention: How not to be a Victim

Who: Dr. Ron Rufo has been a crime prevention speaker in the Preventative Programs section of the Chicago Police Department for over ten years. He is a 16-year veteran of the CPD and has a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University.

Topic: Everything you should know about home robbery, theft prevention, pick-pocketing, scams, and identity theft. This seminar will focus on what we can do to be a safer neighborhood. Learn the importance of intuition, perception and when to call 911. Don’t be a victim. Learn how to properly carry a purse or briefcase, how to describe someone. Also, ATM, revolving door and elevator safety, and how to safely use public transportation will be discussed.

Reasons to Attend: Come mingle with your neighbors, and educate yourself about crime prevention. A connected and educated neighborhood is a safer neighborhood!!

Also, learn about LBRC volunteer opportunities and share thoughts and ideas about ways we can improve our neighborhood.
