Did the remaining members of the church understand this was their intention? The Night Ministry appears to do good work, but it would seem there might be other equally worthy organizations that would be grateful to be gifted this beautiful, historic church with the idea of actually using/preserving it, rather than knowingly sell it to a developer who plans to tear it down.

Doesn’t Edgewater have the ability to seek landmark status for what is being described as the area’s oldest wooden church?

If they feel that way about old buildings, shouldn’t they treat them all the same? Or do they only do it when a large chain or corporation is involved- that would be hypocrisy.
