High End Vintage Boutique Opening On Broadway

vernveraNorth Broadway is home to many types of businesses. Its proximity to the Red Line and other forms of public transportation, and the many high rise residences along Sheridan Road and Lake Shore Drive make it a well-placed location for a new business venture.

VERN + VERA at 5856 N. Broadway is just such a place. Eric Silverstrim has brought years of experience, both in New York and Chicago, working with high-end antique dealers to bring original pieces, particularly from the 1960’s and 70’s, to the Edgewater community. Sean Cowan of Sean Michael Design will share the space with VERN + VERA to provide interior design services and his expertise.

Eric and Sean welcome you to the grand opening of VERN + VERA from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14. After the open house weekend, showings will take place by appointment, though Eric hopes that eventually regular hours will be available. Stop by to view the offerings of this unique new store. Eric says he has worked with high-end dealers over the years but finally felt that “it was time to open an actual store.”

So stop by Sept. 13 or 14 from noon to 7 p.m. to meet Eric and Sean and learn more about the offerings their combined talents can provide. There may be other vintage furniture stores in the area, but VERN + VERA has plans to do something different.
