HERB Bringing Edgewater Fine Dining Thai Food

herb1When owner Patty Neumson decided to start her new restaurant venture, she decided Edgewater was the place to start. Working closely with Alderman Harry Osterman’s office, the began to seek out the right space to serve her culinary work. Though Patty has owned Thai restaurants in the past, she collaborated with the team of Kee Chan experience to start her new concept HERB located at 5424 N Broadway and is promised to be her masterpiece introducing “herbs and microgreens in a new Thai culinary experience”.

Growing up in Southern Thailand, Patty was influenced by her mother and her traditional home-style cooking. From her she learned that the ingredients you put into your dishes should be of the highest quality and nutritious. HERB’s menu reflects this passion for fresh, healthy lifestyle food. She describes HERB as, “Thai food redefined for an audience that demands quality ingredients and a caveat of health in their adventures of haute cuisine.”

herb2Opening soon, the menu will offer three and five course fine dining options of what they like to refer to as modern Thai cuisine. The presentation will be artful and colorful with table-side prep and an complimentary amuse-bouche (small appetizer) that will be cooked fresh by the chef to begin your dining experience. Not your typical saucy and rich Thai food, here you can expect to find a more savory style all made from scratch.

Keeping true to Patty’s healthy approach to food, all dishes are dairy-free, gluten-free with plenty of vegetarian options. All food is made fresh, from their own handmade coconut milk to their special sauces. The menu will be seasonal, so new and unique entrees are promised.
