Giordano’s Unveils Grand Opening Date Which Will Benefit Water Tower Fund

Giordanos1For some time, there has been a “buzz” in Andersonville — not just Edgeville Buzz but the “buzz” of Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza opening its newest location at 5207 N. Clark St. The long-awaited public opening is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.

EVB has learned that the new location has a capacity of 140 diners over two floors of seating space with a full bar on the first floor. There are also garage doors located on the first floor which will remain open during the spring and summer months. This area will also feature water bowls and leash hooks for those who may wish to bring their dogs to dinner.

The restaurant will initially be open at 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, though lunch service is planned to begin in late May. Dine-in, carry-out and delivery service will be available. The restaurant will feature its award-winning stuffed pizza and other authentic Italian favorites.

“To capture the essence of the Andersonville community, Giordano’s is excited to feature several unique, neighborhood-specific design elements, including a large interior painting of the Swedish American Museum’s historic Water Tower,” according to a press release from Giordano’s.

Giordano’s is partnering with the Swedish American Museum to host a “sneak preview” fundraiser for community residents on Tuesday, April 21, from 6 to 9 p.m., as a part of the grand opening celebration. Reservations are now being accepted at avilleresos@giordanos.com, with 50 percent of all proceeds from the evening going directly to the museum’s Water Tower Fund. Similar fundraising and community events are being planned in the future at Giordano’s in Andersonville.

As if all this is not exciting enough, there may be possibilities for employment for Andersonville neighbors. For more information and to apply, send an email to jobs@giordanos.com.
