Endorsements for Harry Osterman

Harry Osterman’s campaign to become the next Alderman of the 48th Ward picked up the following additional endorsements:

* Chicago Firefighters Union

* Chicago Sun Times: “State Rep. Harry Osterman gets our nod to replace retiring Ald. Mary Ann Smith because he would be a great alderman — not because his mother held the job or because he has been waiting for it. He’s smart, has deep roots in the ward, which includes Edgewater and Uptown, and he has a strong record in Springfield fighting for gun control and campaign-finance reform.

Philip R. Bernstein, former planning chief in Chicago for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a small-business owner, impressed us with his hard-nosed views on cutting city spending and his take on how insider politics deters business development and shuts out the views of regular Chicagoans.

Osterman is independent enough to put the interests of the city and his ward first.”

* Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce
