“Wing Hoe” is the one selling the building, it’s not as if they’re being forced out.

4 stories is not a “high-rise” . . . and it’s a perfectly logical spot for something tall. It’s re-purposing an underused property that is close to public transit in a high rise district.

I am so sad to here this! I’ve been going to Wing Hoe since I moved into the neighborhood 14 years ago and it’s the best Chinese restaurant on the north side. :( We certainly don’t need another “high-rise”.

Losing Wing Hoe would be a HUGE loss. Hopefully, they will find another Edgewater location and continue to serve the neighborhood that absolutely loves their food!

We’re frequent customers of Wing Hoe and love it. I hope it can stay where it is (or, worst case, thrive in another good location in Edgewater). But it should stay rather than another property be boring-ized into condos.

It would be a shame to see such an old establishment in an over 100 year old building close to make way for a “multi-unit complex”.
