This statement is incorrect, and was noted and corrected two weeks ago through EveryBlock. “According to the Chicago Tribune, after Fox died in 1926, Marshall designed the pink, and still standing, Edgewater Beach Apartments, which were part of the Edgewater Beach Hotel. The apartments are located at the southeast corner of Bryn Mawr and Sheridan.” The Edgewater Beach Apartments were built at the far northern end of the hotel’s property. It was always an apartment building, was not a part of the hotel and hotel guests did not stay at the apartment building. Any author really ought to research (in this instance, with the Edgewater Historical Society), rather than relying on the Trib. Media does present inaccuracies, you know.
