Crime and the Community coming to EHS

The Edgewater Historical Society’s current exhibition features the history of grocery stores in the neighborhood, and is set to close on March 25th. On the heels of that presentation comes an entirely different concept for the EHS exhibition opening on Saturday April 7th….Crime and the Community.

According to EHS, “the exhibit will include photos, newspapers and the story of the investigation, the work done by law enforcement and the efforts of the community to make their neighborhood safe.” While Edgewater is undoubtedly full of history at every turn, it should be fascinating to learn more about the sordid and often brutal details of the neighborhood’s past. The Edgewater Historical Society is currently seeking members of the community who are interested in providing first hand accounts or recollections of crimes. EHS is located at 5358 N. Ashland Ave, and the museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 PM.
