And with such a high rate of affordable housing — 60% — the whole character of this intersection and this stretch of Devon/Sheridan/Broadway may be negatively impacted — even with a Target (Imagine the day if Target like so much retail should falter, close shop, and leave that giant retail space empty.) In my view, this is one of the worst decisions Alderman Moore has made. The look is cheap and the impact potentially very negative to the area — as many people in this blog and others have pointed out in the past. 60% is just too high.
