Another yelp review mentioning Sysco but in relation to the PIZZA! Again, grow up.
“Awful pizza. Frozen pizza is better than this dry cardboard with the absolute minimum amount of sauce. The dough was generic dough, probably premade mass distributed garbage from sysco. I worked in a gourmet pizza shop for 3 years and I would have been fired for serving this. Way over priced for what I got. I should have known better when I saw that they cooked their pizza on a conveyor belt instead of a real pizza oven. I haven’t tested that many pizza joints in the Chicago land area, but this will definitely be at the bottom of my list for this city.

Jim, we ordered some Fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken from your place a few years ago for pick-up. Once home, we had no idea what to do with this dried out mess but melt 1/2 stick of butter to render it edible.
I think the best option is to send out coupons for free samples and if it’s good, customers will return and pay. Or maybe just stick to pizza if it’s that good………

It’s possible they were intentionally uncomfortable. The Starbucks on Bryn Mawr doesn’t have sofas for a reason.

The place stunk inside. Not sure if it was that popular Chicago sewer gas dilemma or what. Got a $4 chai tea in there which was basically a cup of hot water with some foam on top. If I wasn’t already on the train I would have taken it back. Best of luck.

I agree and hate that experience at Starbucks, and the crowds keep me out of most Starbucks and definitely every Intelligentsia I’ve tried to frequent. I have to say it happened to me once at Coffee Chicago: saw a bunch of open tables and went in, and when I had my coffee and brownie, I turned around…not an empty seat in the place. Had to snarf my brownie sadly over the trash can and guzzle the coffee before slinking out of there, feeling worthless. :)

Old owners let sidewalk patio permit elapse. Just renewed. 10 days. Space will be gutted and completely renovated. I need to perform an exorcism on it…thats how bad a shape it is in.
