City Olive Returning to Andersonville

Specialty olive oil and gourmet food shop City Olive is planning a return to the streets of Andersonville this spring. After shuttering their Clark Street shop last October due to rising rents, the folks behind City Olive went to an online-only business but owner Karen Rose vowed to continue to search for a new home in the neighborhood. Not only do they hope to open a storefront location here in Andersonville this May, but they are opening a store in Roscoe Village next month as well.

The first City Olive is will open in the Roscoe Village neighborhood at 2236 W. Roscoe St, next door to Lush Wine Store. The Andersonville location will be at 5644 N Clark (fittingly, just north of Olive Avenue). In addition to fine olive oils from around the world, City Olive sells vinegars, spices, mustards, tapenades and other gourmet items.
