Car Explodes Into Flames On Sheridan

fierycrash1_300x238A fiery crash on Sheridan at Hollywood occurred this morning around 3:50am. According to reports a van was traveling at a high rate of speed, possibly ignored a red light and slammed into a smaller white vehicle. The van then flipped over on its side, careened into a light pole and burst into flames.

According to an ABC local report, Matt Uliveri of the City’s SouthWest side was traveling in a taxi when the accident occurred. He jumped out of the cab and pulled the driver out of the burning vehicle. Both the 43 year old driver of the van and the 36 year old driver of the white vehicle were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in fair-serious conditions.

The van driver’s name was released as Eduardo Sandoval and he was ticketed with 2 misdemeanors of driving under the influence of both alcohol and drugs.
