Not a fan of Lou Malnetti’s (or Papa John’s) but with the likes of Calo, Antica Pizzeria, Pete’s, Gino’s, Tedinos, Renalli’s and Pizzeria Aroma I hardly call it a black hole!

We’ll stick to Pizzeria Aroma (Berwyn/Broadway) for pizza, but good to know another closed retail space will be open and operating again.

Sorry to hear about the Pappa Johns. The Edgeville/Andersonville area is such a pizza black hole. If we have to be stuck with chains, at least make it a Lou Malnatties, etc. Not Subway & Pappa Johns.

Sad that St. Andrew’s is re-opening with the same owner. No one wants to go in there because the owner is horrible. I’d assume that probably contributed to his inability to pay his taxes. Someday that beautiful bar will have a worthy owner.

As the one that reviewed them for the blog in December, the second round both the service and the food were so horrible it would have been a waste of time for me to compose a second review. Needless to say, their business model did not seem sound enough for a market that is over saturated in this “burger shop” trend. Best of luck to them in their next venture.

My husband will be very happy about the Papa John’s… He loves that place. As for Burger Stop, we had the food there once (via delivery) and it was really bad, so no surprise that they closed.
