Body found in former Gerber/Hart Library space on Granville

According to multiple news sources and the Chicago Police Department, a man was found dead in the space formerly occupied by the Gerber/Hart Library at 1127 W Granville. This comes just one day after the library vacated their space for their move to Rogers Park. According to the Chicago Phoenix, the body was identified as Marcus Smith who died of complications from valvular heart disease. It is speculated that he was a building maintance or construction worker.
