Man Robbed At Gunpoint On Red Line Train
Robber Takes iPhone At Loyola Station

CHICAGO (CBS) ― A man was just sitting on a CTA Red Line train headed through Rogers Park, when suddenly he found a gun shoved in his ribcage.

Police Tuesday morning were investigating the robbery, after a teen stole the 37-year-old victim’s iPhone while at the Loyola stop.

The robbery happened around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The 18-year-old robber allegedly held the victim at gunpoint and said, “Give me the motherf***ing phone and don’t say s**t.” Then he took the iPhone and got off the train at the Loyola stop before the doors had closed, a Rogers Park District police lieutenant said.

The victim was unharmed, the lieutenant said.

The offender is described as six-foot-one, 155 pounds, wearing a winter hat with ear tassels, the lieutenant said.
