FREE Workshop: City of Chicago’s Sign Permit Amnesty
Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 8:30am
48th Ward Office, 5533 N. Broadway
* Do you know that if you have text and letters on your awning or canopy, it’s considered a sign by the City of Chicago?
* Do you have all of the proper permits?

We just received confirmation of this event this morning and wanted to let you know ASAP. Join us for this valuable workshop featuring experts from the City of Chicago’s Dept. of Business Affairs & Dept. of Buildings to assist with the Sign Permit Amnesty program and answer your questions.

Additional Details:
The City’s voluntary compliance period of six months runs from Apr. 15, 2010 through Oct. 15, 2010. The Sign Permit Amnesty Program allows existing businesses lacking permits for existing signs, canopies, awnings, marquees or banners to apply for one or both of the Dept. of Buildings or Public Way Use Permits at no cost. By applying for all the proper permits during the amnesty, businesses will have all the permit fees waived and avoid future fines. Don’t miss this FREE Workshop. RSVP to 773-561-6000 or info@edgewater.org so we know how many people to expect.
