Wait, the street is called Argyle? I’ve been calling it argvie, since that’s what the gigantic sign by the L says.
Still, this is exciting. Think of all new pedestrians that will now be able to experience the smell of loose, rotting, vietnamese food in those dumpsters by the train station!

Argyle is already an economically vibrant area…it just LOOKS blighted (particularly after 9pm, and during the summer when the “beer garden” of vagrants forms). So I’m cautiously optimistic here — I’m hoping that this project will work to conform perception to reality.

Great news! I hope the lane changes on Broadway will happen soon, and once this is also complete the Argyle area will be much safer and welcoming. Can’t come soon enough.
