It’s also pretty clear he was not the intended target of the shooting. So sad. I recently moved out of the Edgewater/Rogers Park area after residing there for the past 5 years, because despite the expansion of Loyola University into the neighborhood (which I have mixed feelings about), gang conflict has continued to be an issue. I’ve stood on the corner where Mr. Lewis was gunned down dozens of times…the whole thing is terrifying and I feel awful for Mr. Lewis’ wife and family, as well as for the neighbors in that area who now certainly feel unsafe.
