Thanks to everyone who checked out our site. In case you’re wondering, we’re actually former Andersonville residents who lived less than a block from Broadway as well as west of Ashland and our comments are based on our observations and experiences as five-year residents of the neighborhood (before people from Lincoln Park and Lakeview realized there was life north of Addison). We just want to give people the good, the bad and the ugly about the various neighborhoods in the city and we’re willing to admit that every neighborhood has it’s high and low points. So anyway, thanks again. And if you read something that really gets you fired up, feel free to visit our discussion board and let us know!

I love living east of Broadway. Our home was affordable, we’re within walking distance of Clark, 2 grocery stores, the lake AND the train/bus. And also I can murder anyone and people will think some random nutjob did it.

East of Broadway is by no means some sketchy, terrifying area. Certainly it's more transitional than the Clark Street strip, but come on. That said, I realize it may look like the 'hood to the Lincoln Park/Lakeview set that this article seems to be catering to.

As the article states, we're "miles from all the action" up here. Because as we all know, the only action in the city is in Lincoln Park and Lakeview.

Well, as a general assessment, I'd say the review on Live Here is a piece of crap. "A crime or two has been known to happen". No $@%& genius, it's Chicago, not Pawtucket. Andersonville isn't some sort of Gilligan's Island, away from everything. There was crime there before Live Here and there will probably be crime after. And anyone that worried about crime that they will dare not venture to Broadway probably needs to move out of the city for their own piece of mind.

Personally, I am surprised the east side of Broadway has been kept such a hidden secret. It is still just blocks from Andersonville, but is closer to the lake & park, Lake Shore Drive, and the train.

Oh, I hope people just keep on thinking that the other side of Broadway is sketchy because that will just keep my rent low! Stay on the Andersonville side of B’Way PLEASE! You WILL get mugged if you cross B’Way I SWEAR!!! hehe. :D
