Chicago is not “broke,” but for 32 years the current Alderman has privatized, sold off, allowed budgets to “break the city.” Ald. O’Connor has a history of being on the wrong side of “What’s right and best for Chicgao!” Let’ take back our city, one neighborhood at a time. Vote Dianne4Ward40

That is how we both ended up at Aspira, a charter school, because working women have to work. When we saw how school privatization worked, first-hand — underpaying teachers, giving no voice to parents, taking money away from students to fund a redundant politically connected administration — we led the charge to “open the books” of that charter organization. And we will continue to demand the same. Charters have no oversight, none, and that must change. When any entity receives public taxpayer dollars, they must show us how they spend the money … and treat their children and families.

And what’s the big deal if she taught at a Charter before moving on to a traditional CPS school?
