Augustin Toscano, 29, of the 2100 block of West Cullerton Avenue, and Raul Segura-Rodriguez, 36, of the 3000 block of South Keeler Avenue, were described by police as members of a violent “crew” linked to as many as dozen drug-related slayings across the Chicago area.

Toscano aslo was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer.

Police believe Ibarra, Toscano, Segura-Rodriguez peddled drugs, robbed and killed some of their narcotics customers. They are suspected in several drug-related mass killings, including four men found shot to death in a West Lawn garage in September and three bound and gagged men found fatally beaten in a car in the McKinley Park neighborhood in April.

At times, the three would set up drug deals with buyer they knew, and when large amounts of money were involved they would rob and kill the buyers, a police source said.

“This is a crew of individuals we’ve been looking for some time,” Nick Roti, chief of the police department’s organized crime division, said Sunday.
